Along with the title and description, YouTube thumbnails are the most critical asset when it comes to performance, even more so than the content itself! Without a compelling or provoking thumbnail, a potentially award-winning piece of content may never be seen. YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world (behind Google), and to tap into the functionality of the platform, you need new users to engage with your content. Watch Time, Avg. View Duration and other KPIs are all dependent on someone clicking on a thumbnail.
